Creating Memories at Camp Lots-of-Fun

Our campers had another great summer of making memories at Camp Lots-Of-Fun, two weeks that they will never forget!

“I’ve never been on a hayride before or picked fruit,” said one 6 year-old camper at Demarest Farms during a camp field trip. “Neither have I,” chimed in her 5 year-old friend. This is what Camp Lots-Of-Fun is all about – giving children outings and experiences they normally would not have. And this year was no exception. The children went on a nature hike, were visited by a mad scientist, planted flowers, learned about money management, went to Liberty Science Center, swam at two local pools and got slimed! This is just a taste of the range of activities at Camp Lot-Of-Fun.

More importantly, relationships were formed and strengthened that will last a very long time. In one case, a family has three daughters who attended the program during the last 20 years. The middle child, now twelve and about to age out, spent camp showing her 5 year-old sister the ropes. The oldest sister, who is 18 is and studying to become a nurse, picked them up from camp in a car that she owns!
