2019 Golf Outing

20th Annual Golf Outing Success!

The 20th Annual Family Promise Golf Outing was held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 and was a great success! The weather was perfect as our golfers enjoyed a day on the beautiful course at Edgewood Country Club in support of Family Promise.

Guests enjoyed lunch, a shotgun start with 18 holes of golf, cocktails and dinner, plus an exciting silent and live auction of fabulous prizes. To add to the excitement, there was a Putting Contest with a $10,000 cash prize and two Hole-in-One contests with prizes of $25,000 cash and a Jeep Wrangler Sahara! Unfortunately, no one won the contests but everyone had fun trying! Contests were sponsored by the Matthew 18:5 Foundation.

Foursomes could choose to play either Best Ball or Scramble format. Prizes were awarded for the following skill contests:

First Place Scramble: Tom Kirby, Travis Deek, Matt Casey, Brian Della Torre
Second Place Scramble: Joe Coccaro, Lee Rouson, Bruce Dexter, Bill Barrows
Third Place Scramble: Gerry Growney, Robby Strauss, Doug Meeks, Jack Sheridan

Longest Drive (8W) women: Amy Szurly

Closest to the Hole (3W): Rob Strauss 6’2”
Closest to the Hole (7W): Mike Gilfeather 10’4”
Closest to the Hole (8R): Patrick Barnett 11’3”

Women’s Closest to the Hole (8R): Ludmila Golad 54’
