Spring is in the air, which means that the Family Promise Hike for Hope is just around the corner! Join us on Sunday, May 5th at Van Neste Square Memorial Park in Ridgewood for a three-mile walk through town in support of the working families experiencing homelessness that Family Promise of Bergen County serves.

For more than 30 years, the Hike for Hope has brought families, students, local businesses, congregations, scout troops, volunteer organizations, and individuals of all ages together to bring awareness to family homelessness and to raise funds for Family Promise’s vital programs. After participants complete their trek through the heart of Ridgewood, we’ll celebrate with fun activities, giveaways, snacks, contests, music, games, and more at Van Neste Square.

Getting started is simple. Sign up now by yourself or with a team, create a personalized fundraising page, and then connect with supporters (and potential hikers) via social media, email, or text. You’ll also be able to participate in fun, online challenges on our Hike for Hope website https://p2p.onecause.com/hikeforhope24 to collect activity points and track your fundraising goals. After returning from the hike, prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Top Individual Fundraisers
  • Top Fundraising Teams
  • Hiker who earns the most activity points.

All registered hikers will receive a 2024 Hike for Hope t-shirt. Any teams that raise $400 or more by Wednesday, April 10 will get their name featured on the shirt!

Hike for Hope is a great community service activity for kids and teens looking for volunteer opportunities. For inquiries regarding groups, or for more information, please contact Amy Ebeling at aebeling@bergenfamilypromise.org
