Happy New Year!
Anyone who has been around a non-profit knows that the end of year is a busy time. This entire newsletter is written with gratitude to all of our fabulous volunteers and donors who helped us close the year on a high note.
Please take a few minutes to read how your fellow Family Promise supporters found ways, big and small, to help our neighbors since our last edition of the Promise in early November. A big shout out to everyone who:
- coordinated a holiday meal
- ran a food drive
- held a fundraiser
- gave up your holiday to serve others
- donated gift cards (one woman buys a grocery store gift card for a family each time she shops!)
- shopped for Christmas presents
- bought something from the Wish List
- prepared this newsletter to go out
- ran the Youth Council for the Homeless
- prepared the meal for the Walk-in Dinner
- donated to the Holiday Giving Fund
- provided warm winter hats, gloves, and scarves (especially appreciated recently)
- made sure the kitchen was well stocked
- acted as a Team Leader week after week
- volunteered at an event
There are so many people and so many ways they are helping but you get the idea. If your activity was not listed above, please know that we appreciate you and all that you do to ensure that our families continue to be served in the best possible way.
We look forward to continuing this journey together and achieving even greater things in 2025.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Kate
