Dear Friends,
Spring has arrived, bringing with it a season of renewal—and plenty of changes here at Family Promise. As many of you know, Margo has officially retired and begun her next life adventure. We already miss her, but the good news is she’s still local, so we hope to see her often.
We’re also excited to welcome three new staff members to our team. Art Pereira, our Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator, has been reconnecting with volunteers who signed up before COVID to gauge ongoing interest and build a skills database. Hina Kabaria, our new accountant, is cutting her teeth on the upcoming annual audit. And last, but certainly not least, Becca Quigley, our new Fund Development Associate, will be supporting our social media efforts and assisting Amy with grants and events.
Our search for a home for the Family Promise Center has also gained momentum. Over the past couple of months, we’ve identified two promising potential locations. I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I’m hopeful we’ll have positive updates to share soon.
Finally, as you can see, The Promise has received a complete refresh. The new design and layout will help us highlight the most important news in a shorter, more accessible format. I’m thrilled with the result and hope you are too. Let us know what you think.
Hoping your spring surprises are as wonderful as ours,
Kate
