Thanksgiving Dinner: A Rousing Success

We are so grateful to the many incredible donors and volunteers who made Family Promise’s Thanksgiving meal a success! Thanks to their generosity and hard work, roughly 500 holiday meals were served at two sites to members of our community in need.

A very special shout out goes to Tommy Mergola who has been coordinating the annual dinner for more than 25 years! As Family Promise Executive Director Kate Duggan reminded all involved, “There are so many moving parts and Tommy is the only person who keeps tabs on all of them – keeping lists and spreadsheets, vetting new volunteers, scheduling drop-offs and pick-ups, answering questions, and myriad other tasks”. Family Promise appreciates you, Tommy, more than we can say!

In addition to the many wonderful returning volunteers, this year saw new and enthusiastic people joining the effort. We are grateful for you, one and all!
