2022 Gala

Thank you for supporting the Family Promise Annual Gala!

On Thursday, October 20th, Family Promise of Bergen County welcomed more than 275 guests to the Edgewood Country Club in River Vale for our 2022 Annual Gala, our biggest night of the year. We’re happy to report that our event was a great success and we raised even more than last year for our shelter and support programs for working families experiencing homelessness.

This year’s theme was “Many Roads Lead Home,” and our program focused on the many different paths that our families take on their personal journal towards self-sufficiency, as well as the different forms of support that Family Promise, volunteers, and donors provide. As part of the evening, we recognized three honorees for the profound impact they’ve had on those we serve: Greater Bergen REALTORS®, REALTORS® Care Charitable Foundation (Philanthropic Impact Award), St. Catharine Church of Glen Rock (Community Impact Award), and longtime Family Promise volunteer Harry Ferguson (Volunteer Impact Award). The fabulous Alina Albano, director of the Family Promise Youth Council for the Homeless, was once again our extraordinary MC for the evening.

The Family Promise Gala featured a silent auction with more than 50 packages, including Legend Suite tickets to the New York Yankees, getaways to Kiawah Island and Crystals Springs Resorts, one-of-a-kind dining experiences throughout New Jersey and New York, and more. Our famous Wine Pull returned for yet another year, which sold out all 110 bottles before the main course was even served! Thank you to everyone who donated to and purchased items from the auction and wine pull.

We were thrilled to welcome back BD as our presenting Empowerment Sponsor for a tenth year. Additional corporate support included Start Sponsors PSEG, PKF O’Connor Davies, and SHARP and our many Family Friend Sponsors: Bogota Savings Bank Charitable Foundation, Columbia Bank Foundation, MRCC, PNC Private Bank, Valley Bank, and Visions Federal Credit Union.

We also want to thank our amazing team of volunteers, both new and returning, for ensuring that the night went smoothly and that all of our guests had a great time.
