After careful consideration, the decision has been made for the Family Promise sheltering network to remain closed through the rest of 2020 and for the foreseeable future.  With the current situation and with so much still unknown, we must err on the side of caution and go with safety first for the families, volunteers, and staff.  In addition, many of our hosts are unable to commit currently for a variety of reasons, including some facilities still unsure of a reopening date.

Our work continues every day.  We are meeting the needs of homeless working families and have been successful with temporary hotel placements and remote case management.  Several families have moved on since March into the New Leaf program or permanent housing.  Families are receiving supplies and meals where appropriate and attending online financial literacy and empowerment workshops.

We are extremely grateful to all of the churches, synagogues, and dedicated volunteers who generously support Family Promise and the families we serve in so many ways. We thank everyone for their willingness to always be there for us to whatever extent possible, especially during these trying times.
