On Sunday, May 6th nearly 200 people gathered in Van Neste Square in Ridgewood to participate in Family Promise’s 25th annual Hike or Bike fundraiser, which supports our programs serving homeless, working families.

It was a fun day filled with hiking, biking, music, dancing, food, games, giveaways and prizes, and we’d like to thank EVERYONE—from our enthusiastic hikers and bikers who braved the weather (again) to their families, friends and colleagues who generously supported their efforts to our dedicated volunteers (the best ever)—for making our Hike or Bike such a big success!

Of course, we couldn’t have done it without the help of our generous sponsors including Freedom Bank, TD Bank, Visions Federal Credit Union, Sharp and PSEG. Thank you as well to the many local businesses and organizations who donated food and services to the Hike or Bike, including Kilroy’s Market in Glen Rock, Cyclesport of Park Ridge, SUEZ, Kings, Starbucks of downtown Ridgewood, Ridgewood Hot Bagels, Dunkin’ Donuts of Glen Rock, The Sensible Fork, Puzo’s Family Restaurant, Thumann’s, Frito-Lay, The First Congregational Church of Park Ridge (popcorn cart), Call Us Clowns, Girl Scout Troop 96471 (crafts), Ridgewood Emergency Services, Family Promise Youth Council for the Homeless and our fabulous DJ, Scott Reddin.
