Lace up your sneakers and step into spring – the Family Promise Hike for Hope is celebrating its 30th anniversary! We are thrilled to announce that for the first time since 2019, the event will be returning to a fully in-person format. Please join us on Sunday, May 7th at Van Neste Square Memorial Park in Ridgewood in support of the working families experiencing homelessness that Family Promise serves.
Since 1993, the Hike for Hope, formerly known as the Hike or Bike, has brought families, youth groups, civic organizations, congregations, and individuals of all ages together to bring awareness to family homelessness and raise funds for Family Promise of Bergen County’s shelter and support programs. Participants will complete a three mile walk through the heart of Ridgewood, beginning and ending at Van Neste Square. Afterwards, our hikers will enjoy activities, giveaways, snacks, music, games, contests, and more!
Getting started is simple. Sign up now by yourself or with a team, create a personalized fundraising page, and connect with supporters via social media, email, or text. You’ll also be able to participate in fun, online challenges on our Hike for Hope website to collect activity points and track your fundraising goals. After returning from the hike, prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- Top Individual Fundraisers
- Top Fundraising Teams
- Hiker who earns the most activity points.
All registered hikers will receive a 2023 Hike for Hope 30th Anniversary t-shirt. Any teams that raise $350 or more by Monday, April 3 will get their name featured on this year’s t-shirt!
Happy hiking, and thank you for supporting Family Promise of Bergen County!
