Dear Friends,
Who is Family Promise? Ask 50 people and you will get 50 different responses. To some, we are a resource for families facing eviction. For others, it’s an opportunity for their congregation to live out its faith through their participation in the Family Promise Network or the Walk-In Dinner Program. And for still others, it is a chance for high school students to volunteer at Camp Lots-of-Fun.

No matter what the reason, check out our new website (https://www.bergenfamilypromise.org) to learn about the programs we offer, current needs, volunteer opportunities and the many ways you can support homeless families and their children. I think you’ll agree that the site is easy to navigate and full of useful information.

Speaking of ways to support homeless families, we’re heading into the summer months, a time when homelessness actually increases! So before you get involved with vacation planning, consider joining us at the Family Promise Annual Golf Outing, buying a Super 50/50 raffle ticket or attending a special fundraising dinner. Your support really does change lives and allows Family Promise to continue to send homeless children to camp and get their parents trained for better jobs. Details for all of these opportunities are below.

And finally, special thanks to all of the people who came out to Hike or Bike for Homeless Families. The day was full of fun and quite successful thanks to the fundraising efforts of so many. I am taking the fact that the rain held out until five minutes after the event ended as a sign that we are doing a good thing here. Whether you were a participant, volunteer or sponsor, your energy and commitment inspires me every day!
Thanks to all who partner with Family Promise to ensure that we have the resources, both human and financial, to help homeless families with children get back on their feet and reach their full potential.

Best regards,
Kate
