Family Promise has always been known as the organization that provides a community response to family homelessness. We utilize that same community response to address hunger. In fact, without the help of brave volunteers, we could not have stepped forward to meet this growing need.
Recently, one of our volunteers, Paul Aronsohn, former mayor of Ridgewood, wrote an op-ed piece highlighting this sense of community spirit that enables Family Promise to be there each and every day, even in the face of a global pandemic. Paul’s piece is uplifting and supplies the hope that we all need at this moment. Read it here.
As Paul says, “…we are not merely embracing a new normal; we are actually shaping it. This gives me great hope and makes me grateful to work alongside each of you. I am confident that we will get through this as we have every other challenge, together!
