It was a magical night! Thank you to everyone who supported the Family Promise Gala, which was held on October 30, 2019 at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes. It was a tremendous success, with another sold-out crowd of volunteers, sponsors and friends!
This year’s Gala celebrated the New Leaf Apartment Program and its impact. We were pleased and proud to honor our four partners:
- Trinity Lutheran Church
Hector B. Pulido, Church Council President - Carlstadt First Presbyterian Church
Rev. Donald Pitches - Teaneck Apartment
Mrs. Ingrid Mitchell - St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Englewood
Rev. Dr. William H. Allport, II
Our inspiring speaker was a young man who lived in one of our New Leaf apartments when he was a teenager. He recounted how it felt to be homeless and how a simple act of kindness on the part of a volunteer led him to study and embark on a successful career in real estate.
Thank you
Thank you to the many individuals, congregations and companies who supported the Gala by purchasing tickets or with donations, journal ads, auction items donations and well wishes. Special thanks to Alina Albano who was responsible for creating the lovely décor.
