Those of us who drive around Bergen County take for granted the convenience of owning a car. For many of the families in our sheltering programs navigating Bergen County by bus is an expensive, time consuming, daily endeavor. You can help by donating your used car to family Promise. You will receive a tax deduction and a family will get the ability to travel to and from work more easily. Now that’s freedom! Cars should be in good working order.

Welcome to the 21st Century

Today having a computer and access to the internet is no longer a luxury. In fact, it is an absolute necessity. Imagine filling out a job application on your phone or your child doing research for a school project on a cellphone. Dr. Christie Gillespie Dean of Continuing Education at Bergen Community College told me recently that 90% of all classes offered at the college require access to a computer. Want to make a difference in the life of one of our families? We are looking for 10 people to donate a NEW LAPTOP so that our families can compete in today’s world of technology. The computers are $299 each. For more information, please contact the office at 201 833-8009.
