Every year, the Unitarian Universalist Outreach Auction supports six local nonprofit organizations that fulfill basic life needs. This joint effort of three local Unitarian congregations allows the organizations to make a short presentation to an enthusiastic audience of congregants and friends and lets them bid the amount they want to give to the organizations. Besides the funds pledged, the proceeds of a live auction, tricky tray, and various raffles are split between the charities.
The Outreach Auction has a history of supporting Family Promise and this November, we were among the beneficiaries of the event. Just before the holidays, a representative from the auction committee delivered a check for over $7,000. What a wonderful way to start the New Year!
We are so grateful for all of the congregations who support Family Promise in their own unique ways. Thank you!
