March 1st marked the 28th anniversary of the Family Promise Walk-In Dinner Program! The first meal was served in 1991 under the leadership of our dear friend Bob Armbruster, who we lost last year in a tragic accident. The Walk-In Dinner in Hackensack thrives today, running 365 days per year, thanks to the many diverse groups that support our promise to the community, that anyone hungry will have a good, free, nutritious meal every night, no questions asked. Over 1.2 million meals have been served to date. Our heartfelt thanks to all who are a part of this mission and who continue to be there for our homeless and hungry neighbors. Pictured here are Family Promise staff members Renee Harper (far right) and Marie Shanley (second from left) with their awesome Book Club, volunteering at the Walk-In for the first time on this special day!

Thank you all!
