Wow! We had a fantastic and enthusiastic turnout of over 200 participants and volunteers for the annual Hike or Bike! We hiked, biked, stretched, danced, noshed and had a great time in support of Family Promise.
Thank you to our Hikers and Bikers, who raised over $40,000, which will help us complete the renovation for a new transitional apartment in Englewood, so a family can move in this summer. Congratulations to Top Individual Fundraiser, Steve Rosignolo and Top Team Fundraiser, God Speed from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Teaneck.

Thank you to our generous sponsors SUEZ (who also supplied water), Freedom Bank, PSE&G, TD Bank and Visions Federal Credit Union. Thank you as well to Kilroy’s Wonder Market for donating hot dogs and all the fixings and to Starbucks, Ridgewood Hot Bagels, Kings, Dunkin-Donuts and Banana Republic for donating various food items.

Thanks to Race Faster/Active Life Fusion for leading us in pre- Hike or Bike stretches and to Ridgewood Emergency Services for being on hand to keep us safe.

Our top fundraisers were entered into a raffle and two lucky ones won great prizes, including a sleek, new $500 bike donated by Cycle Sport of Park Ridge and gift cards from IKEA, The Sensible Fork and Puzo’s Restaurant.

DJ Scott Reddin generously donated his time once again spinning great tunes and Call Us Clowns brought lots of cheer!

Special thanks to the members of the Family Promise Youth Council for their muscle and enthusiasm and to their fearless leaders, Sheila Verna and Alina Raines for their help coordinating the event. It was a great day!
