A Christmas Miracle

Celebrating the holidays while in a homeless situation can be difficult, especially when you have a 5 year old who wants to be certain that Santa doesn’t forget her. One family in the New Leaf apartments faced this issue and was inspired to design a mantle from which stockings could be hung and a chimney that would welcome Santa.  They left milk and cookies out for Santa and, lo and behold, on Christmas morning, the tree was surrounded by presents.

Thanks to mom’s creativity and some Christmas angels who supplied the gifts, this family and all of the families in our program had a holiday to remember.
