Mother’s commitment results in new home in time for Christmas

In early October Judy entered the Network with her four children.  They settled in quickly and although it wasn’t always easy, Judy’s upbeat nature kept the whole family moving forward. She went to work, the children attended school and Judy focused on growing her savings and paying off her debt.  Based on Judy’s commitment, the family’s case manager immediately recommended her for a New Leaf Transitional Apartment.  And as luck would have it, an apartment was being painted and renovated.  The finishing touches completed in mid-December, Judy and the children celebrated Christmas in a new home.

Next step for Judy: returning to school to complete her Medical Assistant’s certification.
