Three weeks ago, JR (aka Tony) became the second member of his family to receive his high school diploma. The first, you may recall, was his mother, Sarah, who received her high school equivalency certification after she and her four boys moved into one of Family Promise’s transitional apartments last year.

This year we watched JR step onto the stage, shake the Superintendent of School’s hand and receive his diploma –an important milestone for him and his entire family. Picture time featured not only JR, but also each of his brother’s trying on and smiling broadly wearing JR’s graduation cap. We are so excited for and proud of this family. They have set the expectation that from that day forward every member of the family would graduate from high school.

At Family Promise, THIS is what success looks like.
