“I give because of the service and meals I received graciously while I was suddenly and unexpectedly homeless. Thank you.”
Not everyone who donates to Family Promise is wealthy. Many people simply make it part of their budget to remember neighbors in need of a meal and a path out of homelessness. For some, it is an expression of faith—whether through Tithing, Zakat, Tzedakah, or Dāna. For others, it is a deeply personal way to give back for the kindness once shown to them.
No matter the size of the gift, each act of generosity carries with it a message of compassion, dignity, and hope. Together, these gifts remind us that no one is ever truly alone—and that through giving, we create the possibility of renewal for others and, often, for ourselves as well.
