On Monday, June 3, Family Promise hosted our 25th Annual Golf Outing at the beautiful Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, NJ. All proceeds from the event benefited Family Promise of Bergen County’s programs for working families facing homelessness and hunger.
More than 100 guests joined us in support of the children and parents we serve, enjoying 18 holes of golf, skills contests, and more. On the course, golfers had the chance to put their drives to the test in two separate Hole in One contests, sponsored by Evily and the Matthew 18:5 Foundation, giving players the opportunity to win a $15,000 jackpot for themselves and $15,000 for Family Promise. Guests also enjoyed a liquor tasting courtesy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, served on the green. Following an afternoon of golf, attendees enjoyed a silent auction, cocktail reception, and a delicious dinner. Our evening program featured a very special live auction, where guests had the opportunity to bid on an outing at the very exclusive Due Process Stables Country Club, courtesy of friends of Family Promise Rick Loshiavo and Charles Matar.
Bogota Savings Bank Charitable Foundation returned as the Presenting Sponsor of the Family Promise Golf Outing for the 12th consecutive year, as did our event’s longtime chairperson, John Masterson. Additional sponsors included Gold Sponsors Provident Bank, PNC Private Bank, The Masterson Family, and PSEG, Dinner Sponsor Cole Schotz, Luncheon Sponsor Schreiber Foods International, and Golf Towel Sponsor SHARP. All golfers received a $50 credit to Edgewood Country Club’s pro shop and Family Promise branded Titleist Pro V1x, courtesy of Bogota Savings Bank Charitable Foundation and the Masterson Family.
