Family Promise of Bergen County’s Camp Lots-of-Fun has been named the beneficiary of the Allendale Woman’s Club annual fashion show. To be held on April 29, 2020, the show, “Lots of Fun with Fashion” will support our two-week end-of-summer experience that provides homeless children with a respite from the stress of homelessness.
For more than a century the women of Allendale have joined together in friendship and philanthropy to support the local community. For the last decade the cornerstone fundraising effort of the group has been a fashion show – touted by many as the “Girls’ Night Out” event of the year. Each year the members with the contribution of local vendors and supporters in the area donate materials for raffle baskets which provide a fun addition to a spring evening of fashion, camaraderie, cocktails, dinner, and dancing.
“The fact that Family Promise’s Camp Lots-of-Fun helps a homeless child just be a kid again – and for two fun-filled, healing weeks, provides them with an opportunity to play, run, dance, create, laugh, share, learn, grow and make friends – is a cause that the women of AWC are enthusiastic to support in any way we can,” said Anne Goddard, AWC President.
If you would like to participate in the fun evening on Wednesday, April 29th at Seasons in Washington Township, and would like to join a table of like-minded folks, please reserve a spot by going to their website.
